Barium Swallow

GI Physiology studies (Manometry and pH studies)

Pressure evaluation of the food pipe, valve and acid reflux into the oesophagus

Types of Surgeries offerred

Surgery for Reflux disease

  • This involves keyhole surgery to reconstruct the weakened valve mechanism to cure reflux.
  • Repair of any hiatal hernia if present

Surgery for Achalasia

  • This involves surgery to loosen the tight valve to improve difficulty swallowing
  • Done using the Key Hole technique.

 

Surgery for Hiatal Hernia

  • This involves surgery to reduce and repair any type of hiatal hernia which may be causing symptoms.
